Maghull Central Square Installs New Bench After Appeal
A new bench has been installed at Central Square Maghull to meet the needs of local shoppers.
The shopping centre, which is owned by the LCP Group, responded to a request from the Mayor Of Sefton charity committee for additional seating, which had already funded a community bench.
Zoe France, Regional Estates Manager, said she had worked with Linda Poole, who is chair of the charity, after she asked if another seat could be installed at the popular shopping centre.
"Supporting the community is so important, so we were only too pleased to help. Marshall Construction, which carries out a lot of work for us at the centre, not only agreed to buy it but also install it, which demonstrates how closely we all work together," she said.
"This is just part of the work we've done to improve Central Square. Over the past few months we've also relined and resurfaced the car parks, improved the footpaths and made huge investments in the residential regeneration. We're committed to making a positive difference for the local community in Maghull."
The seat has now been installed outside G Callaghan Butchers.
Linda Poole said: "Huge thanks go to Marshall Construction for its very kind gift of the seat for Central Square and to Zoe and the team for their help. It will make a difference to shoppers."
A spokesman for Marshall Construction added: "We have provided key construction services at Central Square for eight years, working closely with our client, tenants and the public.
"We are proud to have played a pivotal role in assisting Evolve Estates in their development and regeneration of the area. We are delighted to have the opportunity to provide this bench and hope it becomes another popular addition to Central Square."
