Last Chance To Sign Up For LCP 10K
Runners have less than a week to sign up for one of the biggest midweek 10k races, which takes place in the Black Country on Wednesday, May 1.
The LCP 10k, which is organised and managed by Dudley and Kingswinford Running Club, is a nationally renowned BARR Gold Standard evening race that starts and finishes at the running club, in Swindon Road, Wall Heath, and takes in country lanes.
About 730 runners have already signed up for the race, which is sponsored for the fourth consecutive year by national commercial property and investment company LCP.
Anneka Lowe, marketing and PR manager at Pensnett-based LCP, which will field 29 runners into the race, said: "As a local company, we're only too pleased to be the headline sponsor for this well-established and well-supported race. Members of the LCP team have been preparing hard for the event and are looking forward to taking part in what is a fantastic event."
It starts at 7.15pm and takes in a certified measured course that includes quiet, undulating country roads that are 99% traffic free. Everyone who completes the course will get a technical T-shirt and medal, while there are also prizes across a range of categories, plus free race photographs.
Anyone wishing to enter the race can do so online but they will have to collect their race pack from the club on race day between 11am and 6pm. For more details, visit: www.dkrunningclub.co.uk or email: dk10k@outlook.com
