Customers flock to Concourse Centre McDonald's after £1m refurbishment
Customers have been flocking to the newly refurbished McDonald's at the Concourse Centre after it underwent a £1m refurbishment.
The restaurant, which has signed a 10-year extension to its lease, now aims to recruit a further 20 members of staff to cope with increased demand, with the possibility of another 30 roles being created by December.
The restaurant has been extended and remodelled, and now offers a digital ordering service as well as table service.
Craig Renilson, franchisee who owns and operates four McDonald's restaurants in the area, said: "We were delighted with the number of guests visiting following our significant refurbishment.
"We knew there was always going to be an upsurge in interest in customer visits but the numbers at Skelmersdale exceeded our forecast. This is great news and will result in even more career openings for enthusiastic people looking to gain great training in an innovative, dynamic, retail environment."
Gary Mitchell, centre manager at the Concourse Centre, said: "It's great to see McDonald's confirming its commitment to the centre by investing a significant sum in improvements."
