The Centre, Livingston welcomes the arrival of the state-of-the-art salon, XXXTRA, which was officially opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the founder, Billy Wood, on Saturday, 30th August.
XXXTRA, which is Billy’s very first salon, opened its doors to a long queue of customers from the salon he previously worked in and new customers, many who waited for over an hour before the launch to get a sneak peek at the new premises.
Billy, whose parents and brother all work in other stores in the shopping centre, treated guests to complimentary refreshments, including fizz and a buffet, and special VIP offers to mark the occasion.
In addition to a DJ, who played throughout the day at the salon, which specialises in cuts, colours and extensions, there was also a raffle to win prizes including Cloud Nine straighteners.
Billy who has been working in the industry for over a decade and built an impressive following, said: “I am absolutely delighted to be opening my first-ever salon here at The Centre, Livingston. Thank you to everyone, including my friends and family, and the team at the shopping centre for helping to make my dream come true.
“I’m really looking forward to making all of my customers feel and look fantastic!”

The opening of XXXTRA adds to the diverse range of recent new arrivals to the shopping centre including Las Iguanas, Sostrene Grene and a 90-seater Starbucks.
Owners of The Centre, Livingston, LCP UK, part of M Core, one of Europe’s leading, privately owned commercial property development and management companies, have also announced plans to expand into the leisure sector with the opening of a 26,000 sq. ft. Hollywood Bowl venue, with 22 cutting-edge bowling lanes, an arcade and a bar and diner.
