His two friends, brothers Stefan and Elliot Wilkes, are also planning to complete a 15,000ft tandem skydive in Lancaster on Father's Day - Sunday, June 18.
The trio are raising funds for the charity to mark the upcoming tenth anniversary of David Wilkes's death, who passed away from heart failure at the age of just 53 in January 2014.
"David was a huge role model to Stefan and Elliot and he is still missed," said Liam. "To mark this date we will be completing two major challenges in 2023 to raise money for Child Bereavement UK.
"We're al
l very much excited for the challenge, but more importantly raising money for a great charity. Stefan and Elliot were not aware of the charity's work when they could have benefited from its help, so we're doing our bit to raise awareness and funds."
Child Bereavement UK helps children, young people, parents, and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.
The charity provides training to professionals in health and social care, education, the emergency services and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
